Sumter County Deputies have been in DeSoto County since Saturday, Oct. 1st. Our deputies have been involved in patrolling, distribution of supplies, and helping with tarps on homes.
Additionally this week, Deputy Torres and Deputy Mora, who has friends and family impacted by the storm took donations down to distribute to those in need. We want to thank Ace Hardware (CR 466) for their generosity and everyone who contributed to this effort.
Deputies and a new group will deploy.
