Alesha Williams, a former employee of Sumter County Sheriff's Office was arrested on March 15, 2023 and charged with Tampering With Evidence -Felony, Obstruction - Misdemeanor and Violation of Oath of Office - Felony. Ms. Williams was released on bond and employment terminated. This is an ongoing investigation that may result in additional charges.
