It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness we announce the passing of Detention Sergeant William Prevatt due to complications from Covid-19.
William Prevatt was dedicated to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office starting his career in 1995, he retired as a Sergeant in 2013 and rejoined the Detention Center in 2019.
I would like to offer my condolences to Sergeant Prevatt’s family, his three children Jaycob, Kayla, Bryton.
We would also like to ask that you keep Sergeant Prevatt’s family and our Sumter County family in your thoughts and prayers during this unthinkable time.
Funeral arrangements for Sgt. Prevatt are as follows:
Services be held September 9, 2021.
A viewing take place from 11-12, the service start at 12 at Croom-A-Coochee Baptist Church located at 10926 South US HWY 301, Webster.
Following the service a grave side will be held at Gardens of Memories, Webster, FL
