Construction worker laborer

Sumter County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.

Labor Day is approaching, the Sumter County Sheriff's Office will be working with the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to decreased impaired driving.

We would like to spread the word about drunk driving and remind all drivers to plan ahead for a sober driver. The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign will run through the Labor Day Holiday.

Be safe Sumter, drive sober, or plan to have a sober driver.
