State law requires your pets — dogs, cats and even ferrets — to be vaccinated against rabies. 

Low-cost spring clinics are available in some areas or check with an area veterinarian.

The state Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) has Information about rabies, the risks to people and animals and how to report possible exposures.
